Jayce Baron is a globally recognized social impact strategist, award-winning film producer, writer, and healing advocate whose work bridges government, community, and culture. A former Los Angeles elected official, Jayce continues to work within government systems to bridge critical gaps and bring global resources to underserved communities. He currently serves on the Homelessness and Social Justice Advocacy Committee, where he advances structural solutions rooted in dignity, equity, and long-term impact.

In 2016, after courageously sharing his story as a survivor of sexual assault, Jayce catalyzed national attention and played a pivotal role in the passage of Senate Bill 813—legislation that abolished the statute of limitations for rape in the State of California at the height of the #MeToo Movement. He remains a trusted collaborator to state and federal lawmakers, driving forward survivor-centered reform focusing on LGBTQ+ individuals, communities of color, women, and any community left out of the conversation.

Jayce also serves on the advisory board of Yale University’s Department of Psychiatry, where his lived experience as a queer male survivor informs groundbreaking research in trauma and culturally responsive care. Through his writing, policy work, and internationally acclaimed storytelling, Jayce reimagines systems of justice, healing, and collective survival—connecting policy to possibility on a global scale.
